Being near Connecticut’s beautiful shoreline isn’t JUST about the beach. I moved to the shoreline almost 20 years ago, hoping to be inspired by its beauty. It hasn't disappointed. These days I'm focusing on my own writing after years of supporting others through Creating A Writing Life Retreats for Emerging Writers (since 2007), writing about other people's stories as a reporter, columnist and freelance writer. And a little gig as a Community Minister brought expressive arts into spiritual lives. And now I'm in the very imperfect process of writing poetry and working on my novel. For me, everything circles back to writing. It always has. Join me in this small corner of the world for a bit of fun, a little joy, some creativity and inspiration, and the opportunity to stay connected. ~Patty
You might wonder why there are seastars here. Many species of sea stars, also known as starfish, have the miraculous ability to grow back an arm if they lose one and some species can even regenerate an entire body if there is just one bit of arm remaining. The point is – they get hurt and they re-invent themselves. They regenerate and are renewed. That’s what I do here. Provide tools for regeneration and renewal.
