An Easter Sunrise

I awoke this morning and was surprised to see the light of day peaking through the edges of my curtains. This is a rare occurrence as I’m usually up long before the sun. But this Easter morning, I was greeted with the gift of watching the sun rise. What a treat, the extra sleep, the celebration of Easter, and all that holds for people of this faith.
I later went to my desk to work on my website in preparation for the release of my debut novel, on the 30th, Synchronicity~ Two Hearts, One Spirit, a Forbidden Love. I’ll let you guess what is so forbidden about it. But instead of getting to work, my alarm went off, reminding me that Mass was starting. For the next hour (or more), I was entranced by the music, ceremony, and absolute depth of the Catholic Mass. Listening to Cardinal Dolan deliver his homily, I sat alone in my studio in tears, I was so moved. I suppose other people were as well, as the church (on my computer screen anyway) was packed.
My faith has always been a huge part of my life. So it is with the characters in my book, as they try to navigate a journey of love for God, the church, and each other.
My website is in the process of being updated, so please bear with me while it is a little bit “under construction.” Happy Easter, and may it be filled to overflowing with God’s gifts and abundant blessings for you, today and every day.
Peace,
Patty
