Thank you for your interest in Synchronicity ~ Two Hearts, One Spirit, a Forbidden Love. I hope you will or already have enjoyed the story of Seth and Anna and perhaps even fallen in love with them as I have. Of course, we’ve spent much more time together. That’s because I began writing about them over a decade ago.
They initially came to be, one 20-minute writing prompt at a time. I was attending a fabulous writing group in Rhode Island off and on for years. Led by a beautiful spirit who gathered different women and inspired us to write. So I wrote there and I wrote at home, and anywhere else I had a minute, developing this story while I also worked as a reporter and columnist for a local newspaper. I led Creating A Writing Life Retreats for about 10 years and I later served a church as its community minister where I used my skills as an expressive arts educator and spiritual director. But my roots were Catholic. Perhaps we always find our way home.
Two years ago, I asked a couple of friends if they wanted to gather with me to work on our novels. I got out my substantial pile of hand-written work about Seth and Anna and transcribed it all into the computer, somehow giving it a shape that turned into a story. It was no easy task. Once most of the original material was woven together, I finished the story…for now, because I knew there was so much more to tell. So just about two years and a decade later, I published Synchronicity. Writing it has stirred my heart and brought me joy beyond my imagining. I hope reading it has brought you some as well. I’ve already started the sequel.
